Styled to mirror the circular motif of a traditional Maasai manyatta, the lodge blends international sophistication with raw African beauty while featuring twin rows of individual rooms, some with views of the famous Mara River. Equally breathtaking sightlines can be enjoyed from the restaurant and bar and rock-enclosed swimming pool. After a day in the bush, a steam shower and an Oringa Massage at the Maisha Spa & Gym offer an exquisite welcome back to civilization.

The Maasai Mara is one of the most famous safari destinations in Africa. The main reserve is unfenced even along the border with the Serengeti (Tanzania) which means there is free movement of wildlife throughout the ecosystem.

Maasai Mara is also sometimes spelled Masai Mara and locally known simply as The Mara. It is named in honour of the Maasai people, the ancestral inhabitants of the area, who migrated to the area from the Nile Basin. The Maasai Mara is home to populations of lion, leopard, cheetah and African bush elephant. It also hosts the Great Migration from July to September, which is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa.
