The Nosy Be Archipelago is situated off the north-west coast of Madagascar. It’s tropical climate and superb location makes it Madagascar’s best-loved beach-resort destination. Known as “the perfumed island”, it is popular with tourist yet hugely laid-back with sugar cane plantations, rum distilleries, ylang ylang bushes and lounging lemurs. It offers some amazing snorkelling and diving opportunities and beautiful primary forests with a great wildlife.
Vanila Hotel & Spa
Located on the West Coast of Nosy Be and surrounded by a tropical garden overlooking the Indian Ocean, the three-star Vanila Hotel & Spa offers a 24-hour front desk, two restaurants and a bar. The rooms are decorated in warm colours and are furnished with fine wood from Madagascar. Rooms are fitted with a satellite TV, air conditioning and tea-and-coffee-making facilities. The rooms have a view of the sea or garden. Vanila Hotel & Spa has an à la carte and buffet restaurant. Guests can unwind and relax in the spa or enjoy a refreshing swim in the swimming pool which has views of the sea. An array of optional activities can also be enjoyed including horse riding, diving, snorkelling and golf at a charge.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
Welcome to Madagascar. On arrival at the Nosy-Be Fascène International Airport you will be met and assisted with the formalities. You will then be transferred to your local hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Nosy Be is famous for its perfumed plant, Ylang Ylang, but also for its beautiful sandy beaches... a true paradise. The island is situated on the north-west coast of Madagascar and is characterized by hills, valleys, plantations of sugar cane, fragrant flower bushes and some primary forests.

Day 4: Nosy Komba & Nosy Tanikely
Today you depart by boat to the islands of Nosy Komba, known as the lemur island, and Nosy Tanikely which is a marine reserve.
On Nosy Komba you will visit the fisherman’s village and the lemur reserve for a chance to view these curious creatures. From here you proceed to Nosy Tanikely, a small island situated about 40 minutes by boat from Nosy Komba. This is an underwater reserve with multi-coloured coral reefs just a few meters below the surface. It is one of the best snorkelling sites in the area, though there is no need to be an experienced diver to observe the colourful spectacle. Return to the hotel late afternoon.

Day 3: Nosy Be Island Tour
After breakfast, depart on an island tour. The tour includes:
- a tour of Hell Ville, the capital of Nosy Be
- visit the markets that offer fresh vegetables, spices, fruit and Malagasy handicraft
- a brief visit to the harbour with some free time for shopping
- visit the sacred tree, a big banyan tree, which is over 200 years old
- lunch at one of the best restaurants on the island
- end the day with a visit to Andilana Beach to the extreme north, one of the most beautiful beaches of Nosy Be, passing Djamandjar city with its colonial buildings and old rum factory
