Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta Airport, Nairobi (flight quoted separately). Group will be met at the
airport and transferred to Sarova Stanley Hotel.

Our safari starts in all earnest today as we head towards the Amboseli National Park near
the foot of Mt Kilimanjaro. The park is 39,206 hectares in size at the core of an 8,000 square
kilometres ecosystem that spreads across the Kenya-Tanzania border. The local people are
mainly Maasai. The park offers one of the best wildlife-viewing experiences in the world and
is the second most popular park in Kenya.

Set against the magnificent backdrop of Africa's highest mountain, the glittering Mount Kilimanjaro,
Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge enjoys a uniquely privileged position at the heart of this world-famous
national park.
Secluded within a grove of acacia trees, the lodge looks out over the golden savannah plains, with
uninterrupted views of the mountain itself. Close by are a series of emerald green swamps, which are
fed by the melting snows of Kilimanjaro. These, the only sources of water in this otherwise starkly
beautiful but arid park, attract huge numbers of wallowing elephants, hippos, buffalos and plains
game. Meanwhile, from the prehistoric site of Observation Hill, the sunset over Kilimanjaro is
magnificent.

Depart for Lake Naivasha a freshwater lake lying north-west of Nairobi. It is part of the Great
Rift Valley. The lake is home to a variety of wildlife; over 400 different species of bird have
been reported. There is a sizeable population of hippos in the lake.
Arrive at the Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge, check-in and enjoy lunch.
In the afternoon enjoy a boat trip on the lake.
Dinner will be at the lodge.

Situated by the shores of Lake Naivasha, a sweet water lake approximately 177sq kms in size, and home to many varieties of flora and fauna. The resort is on 120 acres of prime land.
Day 5 13 Aug 2012
Breakfast and check-out.
Depart for Lake Nakuru National Park. The park comprises the lake surrounded by wooded
and bush grasslands. It supports a wide ecological diversity with Flamingos and other water
birds. The ecosystem provides for about 56 different species of mammals including the
white rhino, buffaloes and a variety of terrestrial birds numbering nearly 450 species.
Enjoy a game drive followed by lunch at the lodge.

Today we will depart for the Masai Mara National Reserve, for most the highlight of the trip.
The Masai Mara is known as Africa’s Greatest Wildlife Reserve famous for the abundance of
lion and the wildebeest migration.
The reserve stretches 1,510 sq km and raises 1,500-2,170 meters above sea level. The
terrain of the reserve is primarily grassland and riverine forest with clumps of the distinctive
acacia trees.
Proceed to the lodge for lunch.
