Ethiopia

Ethiopia has a rich history. The country is populated by a diversity of cultural groups each with their own colourful ceremonies and traditions.

The food is different to what we know and their calendar is seven years behind the rest of the world, with New Year's celebrated on 11 September.

The countryside is beautiful with some stretches dotted with lakes, other parts with high mountain ranges and, in between, a patchwork of cultivated fields.

Experience the whole spectrum by visiting the Omo Valley with its large number of different cultures, following a visit north for a sense of the history and religion of the people in that area. Or visit only the Omo Valley or do the historical route. You won't regret touring to the land of crosses, churches, coffee and culture.
